I have a recording of a meeting of the Kips Bay Group in 1950, where Bill W. is speaking and learns of Dr. Bob’s death. Is this really Bill?

No. The recording is of a one-man play called Moments, An Evening with Bill W., written in 1989 by an A.A. member. According to the playwright, an audience member made a recording of the performance in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1994, and since then, hundreds of copies have been in circulation.
